Well this weekend Midway Bar had there annual Bass Tournament which brought about 40 boats. It was a great turnout and they do an excellent job in running the tournament. The best thing about the tournament is that when its done everyone is invited for free food at the midway bar, plus they giveaway prizes. I will try to get the results of the tournament up soon. We started out the morning a little slow, but soon picked up and pulled a bunch of nice largemouth throwing X-Tec Tubes and Sweet Beavers. I also caught a few fish throwing big crankbaits. It seemed like if you could find a little current along the grass, the largemouth would be there. We had one spot were there were a lot of shad along with current and grass and caught a bunch of fish there. We got to the point in the day that we couldnt catch anything bigger than 15". The fish really bit good, but the only problem we had was that we caught a lot of 13-15" largemouth, which is great, but when fishing a tournament you have to get bigger fish than that if you want to place. We ended up in 10th with about 14lbs which wasn't to bad, but they only paid up to 9th place.
