this early season has been pretty much a flop for me this year compared to last. not alot of birds in the area, at least none that we can pattern enough to set up on. here one day not there for another 3, sickening. anyways, two nights ago i found a corn field that they had cut about 3 days prior to that. there was about 75-100 geese using it that night and last nite. got permission and we went there this morning. different story this morning, looks as if they were using an alfalfa field that was adjaecent to the end of our corn field in the morning and going to the corn at night. most of the geese landed in the alfalfa field, and we didn't know if the same lady owned that or not. we let them be and had one flock of 3 dump in the corn. 3 came in and 3 died. thats all the action we had this morning, as i had to work tonite. seen alot of geese tho, good to see some again i thought i forgot what they looked like. gonna leave it alone tomarrow and go back and hunt all day thursday, hopefully in the alfalfa if we get permission. i got some picks of the spread, we only put out about 30 full bodies, sorry they are not the greatest pics, and of the geese after i got back home.

Nice Report!! I havent done that well either on MN side. Hopefully that will all change once the season starts. Goose hunting can really get cha mad, cause one day they fly one way and the next another way. I think a lot has to do if it is cloudy or sunny. The pictures are awesome, keep'um coming, I always like looking at decoy spreads. How old is your lab??

Glad to see you shot a few, how is your dog doing? With the draw down on pool 5, it should hopefully help the hunting this year.
