OK, here is a general how to for creating your own avatar or finding an avatar on the web. You need to have a digital photo you would like to use and a program to resize the photo. If you don't have a photo editing software like photoshop you can download a freeware program from this site www.irfanview.com (http://www.irfanview.com)
Double-click the file you just downloaded, irfanview.exe and follow the install instructions. After the install is done open the program and choose file / open and browse to the photo you would like to use. After the photo is open you want to click image / resize/resample from the menu. Under "set new size"
type in the width as 80 and click OK. Choose File / save as and save the file where you can find it with a new name like avatar.jpg or something.
The main thing to remember is the avatar can be no bigger than 80x80 so size accordingly.
You can also download premade avatars from the web by doing a google search for avatars.
After you have an avatar you want you need to login to your user control panel and choose edit avatar from the menu on the left panel. Under use custom avatar click the browse button and browse to the avatar on your computer. Click save changes and you are done.
