On Tuesday I had a bit of time so I thought I would take my daughter who is 6 out for a bit. I had every thing ready to go when she got back from school and in the truck we went for some good ole dad daughter time.
I was hoping to get some slop bass action or some sand points a try. We hit pool 6 and as soon as the boat stopped I grabbed my rod and the first clap of thunder hit.
"Dad we should probably go" was her response, I had to agree.
We get back to the truck just in time for the radio to have all the blaring of a thunderstorm warnings all over it.
Disappointed but safe is better than not. Particularly when the little one is in the boat.

Question,
Now that the water will rise a bit and the temps cool how long do you feel it may be before the fish get the feed bag on?

-My personal opinion is that it will not be long at all. The cooler temps will be a welcome sign of fall and if the fish heed this the schooling will begin in earnest shortly, and the action will get HOT!

Let me know what you find.
Thanks

I hear what your saying Haywood. I really think the smallmouth bite has gotten a lot better and I do believe they are starting really feed. I was out this morning and caught a bunch of nice smallies. Each of the smallies had big guts on them so they are feeding really well. With all the rain we just got I dont think that it affected the fish to much, cause that next morning I caught some really nice smallmouth and Largemouth. With the cold evenings we have been getting this should make the fish think about switching over to there fall pattern. The bite should be getting better and better.
