Kankakee River in Indiana

I got out on the Kankakee River in Indiana today. Didn't do any good with the fish but enjoyed being out. It's a great river and I'm starting to learn it a bit by bit. Anybody fish it on here?

Never been there before, whats the river known for?

It cuts across northern indiana and holds smallmouth, largemouth, pike and walleye. I've head the state record walleye came out of the Kankakee, but I've never caught one. I like the smallies!!!
