I was reading an article how MN wants to cut the season down to 45 days. This would mean that MN is the only state to do something like this. Yes, duck population is down this year, but a 45 days season. This just would not be fair.

ya the duck numbers are barely down from last year, heck the pintails are actually up for once!!! if anything this will happen down the road in a few years, not this year

I heard that MN will have a pintail season all year. 1 per day. This will be awesome!!

well it looks like you guys have your 60 day duck season but you only get to shoot 4 ducks. not sure what wisconsin is doing yet, i sure hope they dont do the same thing but more than likely they will. if they dont i wonder how many people will be buying out of state licences

I'm sure it will be the same for wisconsin too. But who knows. That does suck only 4 birds, that means I will have to go in early EVERYDAY, because of my limit. :D
Fishermanpepin: To bad you never got to experience that yet,,, gettin a limit.
:p

ok ok this isnt a full limit. very well could of had one. i was hunting by my self during the gun deer season when everyone else was busy wasting their time chasing white tails. i had my three greenheads and i wanted to get out of there so the ducks could get back in. what i thought were two hens came in and i shot once to get my 4th mallard. well turns out it was a gad so i stuck around and got one more greenie. very well coulda had a limit if i woulda shot that other gad

me and a buddy of mine went out to lake pepin a few days after my last post. it was the last weekend of the deer season and he had already shot his buck. decided to do a little lake shore hunting on lake pepin and well, you can see the ducks were there. i know i know theres two suzies there but when you got flocks of up to 50 come in you sometimes hit more than one. had a few bills and a few buffleheads come in also but as the diver hunters know well you got to kill them the first shot cuz when they hit the water they are under. lake pepin is very big and offers an easy excape when you are hunting with a young dog. we also shot 2 limits of mallards that day too but one we had to do the whirlie bird on and well he kinda got decapitated and wouldnt of looked good in the picture
