A group of us hit the Badgerland Pheasant farm in Westby today.

Not a bad place.

Tough time of year for cover and the birds were 'aged' a bit.

But overall we enjoyed ourselves and kilt a few... 19/24 today. we had a few runners and one flushed wild.

time to clean guns and go fishin'... at least until the turkey season gets here, and trap, and etc... aw.. forget cleanin the guns! just go fishing

That sounds like a lot of fun. I didn't know that the game farms had hunts this time of year. I'll have to check into that.

Yeah, its a great time Apollo. You can always join up with us sometime. Not sure if I will be going anymore this year, but next year for sure. A lot of the pheasant farms will be closing soon.

i have been seeing more and more phesants along the road as i drive to work in rochester. the roosters have reallty great color. there have been a couple of time i have come close to harvesting them the front of my car. with this light winter, it should only help the population.
