Took the canoe out on upper lake Onalaska for bass and northern on Sunday. The southeast wind made navigation a little dicey but not impossible. The fish seemed to be stacked up in the thick weed mats so we tossed the moss boss over the tops and worked out to the weed edge. We had a lot of strikes in the weeds but most of those were hard to hook-up. Most of the fish we caught were striking when the moss boss would go over the weed edge. We also tossed a black senko on a # 4 worm hook and ran that over the pockets in the weeds with some good success.
