I have used both the Expert and Cara series and I think the Cara is about the same and less expensive. They both have lifetime warranties and AMERICAN made which makes them a good choice.!! :)

st croixs are nice, but need to try something different. Have you tried any other rods?

o only have one rod that isnt a croix and that is a falcon origonal. its a 7 6 heavy flippen rod. just needed somethen for the slop otherwise i would of got a more expensive rod if i needed more sensitivity but if you cant tell you had a bite in the slop you shouldnt be fishen lol :D i do like it, but its on the heavy side tho

Through the years I have used a lot of different rod companies and I have never found a better rod for the money. Especially if your a 7mh kind a guy. It's by far my favorite rod and trust me I almost always have it in my hand, and if that's not in my hand I have one of their flippin sticks and I abuse that rod and they just keep going and going. For the money I truly beleive they are by far the best, I compare them to the curados of rods.

i gotta be the difficult one and say that i tried and tried, but i could never see all the hype in the curados. i know they are work horse and last a long time but there not smooth at all, not even the superfrees, and they feel cheep. just my opinion

Love the Falcon rods, but the Experts and Cara's are quite different. Experts are much faster actions IMO< and maybe a bit lighter, but I kinda like the Cara actions better for most applications.

The 6'10" H in the Cara or the LowRider are awesome pitching rods. I have one expert, a 6'6" M. I love it for spinnerbaits, but haven't found alot else I like it for.

I love the Curados. Seem smooth to me, and are durable as shoe leather.
