View Full Version : Trempealeau Lakes
My son and I have been popping out to the Trempealeau Lakes area the last couple of evenings to fish for bluegill and bass. Last night we put away the worms and concentrated on the bass. Isaac's very first cast he caught a bass on a fluke. We tossed spinnerbaits and plastic for the next hour until dark and landed 12 bass and 1 northern between us. I would think this is happening in backwaters all over right now so get out with the kids and have a little fun.

Nice Report Jim. Gotta take advantage when the bass and northern are bitting like that.

That is cool Jim!
Tons of fun. Ths fish are chasing shad like crazy right now. I see shad everywhere. I hve not been able to catch a ton of them though. Not sure if they are full or I have not found the right combination yet.
Again when you are with the kids it is a BLAST! :D

Hey Jim,
I just noticed in the first pic the fish is almost as big as the dog.
With some big Pike in there you best hope the dog doesn't want to go for a swim! He could be pike bait. :D
She actually jumped in after a bass that night and we had to fish her back out. She loves to go fishing almost as much as Isaac and I.
