Went up trolling this weekend on Pepin and did fairly well. We had to get our fishing in right away in the morning cause once the big cruisers come out it gets pretty rough. We tried to keep the boat in about 14-16 feet of water trolling excaliber fat free shads. Lots of 13" and 14"ers. We did manage on getting 5 nice 15-19" walleyes. I wish I had a digital camera so I could show you guys. But it was an excellent day to get out and the action was good. On my depthfinder you could see the schools of shad so as long as I could see that it seemed to be where the walleyes were.
