Got Ice?

So is anyone going to seek out on hard water this weekend? I might just have to give it a go. I think I'll start around Pritchards and if worse comes to worse there is a little pond that holds plenty of panfish an a few bass near my house. Man, I hope the mice haven't made a home in my fish trap!! If any of you head out, ice thickness reports would be awesome. Bring the ice spud and an extra pair of socks.

Well,......... I'll drop a report. I hit up West Newton on Sunday afternoon and did fairly well. It was a 1 to 10 ratio on keepers, but still fun. It'd be a good time for the kids. The ice was good with roughly 6 inches. Man was there alot of lerkers. In the two hours I was there, I'd bet a dozen trucks/cars stopped and watched me with the binos. It's funny.....

Ya! Just lean waaaaaaay back. And if one got out of their vehicle to investigate, start slapping the side of my pail to create that slab crappie flopping around effect. LOL
